2| Instructions for use
Before using for the first time
2.1. Open the cooker
Push the sliders (7) on both sides to the end
of the handle. The markers on the sliders (7)
must be set to open (A). Swivel the lid han-
dle (5) to the right until the markers on the
lid and the base handle (6) are facing each
other (B). Remove the lid.
2.2. Clean the cooker
Before using your pressure cooker for the
first time, you should remove any stick-
ers and wash all the individual parts (see
"Cleaning" section). Rotate the lid and re-
move the lid handle (5) from the lid. To do
so, pull the red slider (4) on the underside
of the lid handle (5) in the direction of the
arrow towards the end of the handle (C),
fold down the handle and detach it (D). Re-
move the seal (10) from the lid (E).
2.3. Close the cooker
Attach the handle to the lid (F) and you will
hear the orange slider (4) lock into place on
the rim of the lid. Insert the seal (10) in the
rim of the lid so that it sits below the in-
ternal bent rim of the lid. Place the lid on
the cooker (see markings on the lid and
pot handle) and turn the lid handle to the
left as far as it will go (B). Push the sliders
(7) carefully to the closed position (A). The
cooker must not be assembled incorrect-
ly. The cooker may only be assembled in the
intended manner.

instructions
3.1. Check the safety mechanisms before
each use.
Make sure that the seal (10) and the rim
of the lid are both clean. Use a toothpick
or paper clip to check that the ball in the
safety valve can move (G). If the ball does
not move, contact WMF Group GmbH or a
WMF dealer.
Remove the handle and apply finger pres-
sure (H) to the main valve (3) to check that
it moves.
Check that the cooking indicator seal (2) is
in the correct position and not damaged (I).
Please note: Do not press through the
cooking indicator seal (I) as this could dam-
age the residual pressure safety device and
the function of your pressure cooker is
then no longer guaranteed.
Attach the handle to the lid (F). Place the
lid on the cooker and close (B).
3.2. Liquid volumes
To make measuring easier, the cooker fea-
tures an inside scale (J). At least 1/4 l of liq-
uid is required to generate steam, regard-
less of whether or not you are cooking with
(12) or without inserts.
To prevent functional impairment, the
maximum fill level for the pressure cooker
is 2/3 of the way to the top.
When cooking foods that froth and expand
a lot (e.g. meat broth, pulses, giblets and
compote), do not fill the cooker any more
than halfway.
When cooking with inserts or other ac-
cessories in particular, please ensure that
the maximum fill quantities are never
exceeded.
(For more information see section on "Pre-
paring wholefoods").
If you want to fry your food before cooking
it (e.g. onions and pieces of meat etc.), you
can use the pressure cooker like a stand-
