4. The top of the � le should protrude
approximately 1/5 up above the tooth.
5. Finally, � le any riders using a depth-
gauge tool and a � at � le. The riders
must all have the same height and be
approximately 0.65 mm lower than the
teeth.

Cleaning and maintenance

Clean the chainsaw by wiping exterior parts
with a damp cloth. Ensure the ventilation
slots are kept free of dust and dirt.
Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents, as they may attack the plastic parts of
the chainsaw.
Remove the saw chain and blade regularly
and clean the groove in the blade. Remove
the cover and brush the area around the
chain wheel and the chain tensioner knob
using a soft brush.
Sharpen the teeth using a chainsaw � le or
grinder. Be very careful when sharpening the
teeth!
Replace the saw chain when the teeth are
worn down to the mark.
Re� ll the chain oil tank with chain oil before
each use and once the oil level falls below
the minimum mark on the oil gauge.
Check for blade and sprocket wear regularly
and replace if necessary.
Always place the protective cover (15) on
the blade when transporting or storing the
chainsaw.
