Intended use

The power pack is intended for use
in corresponding 40V MTD electrical
power tools. Any other use is classed as
incorrect use. The user is liable for any
damages arising from incorrect use.

altered or obliterated.

Transport and storage

Transport
Note
Li-ion power packs and batteries
are subject to the requirements
of the dangerous goods act. The
user can transport the power
packs by road without further doc-
umentation. If sending via a third
party (e.g. airfreight or freight for-
warding) special requirements in
respect of packaging and labelling
must be observed. In this case,
refer to a hazardous goods expert
for preparation of the package.
Only send the power pack if the casing

is undamaged.
- Apply insulating tape to open contacts.
- Pack the power pack so that it cannot
move within the package.
It may be necessary to adhere to other

related national regulations.
Storage
Note
The power pack should only be at
around 60% charge when going
into storage.
Charge the power pack before storage.

Charge the power pack after a long

period of disuse.
Store the power pack and charger

separately.
Store the power pack in a cool and

dry location (recommended storage
temperature approx. 18 °C).
