tended for use by children and
persons with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabil-
ities, or lack of experience and
knowledge. Otherwise, there is
a danger of operating errors and
injuries.

sure that children do not play
with the vacuum cleaner.

harmful to one's health, e. g. dust
from beech or oak wood, masonry dust, asbes-
tos. These materials are considered carcinogenic.
Inform yourself about the valid regulations/laws
for your country concerning the handling of ma-
terials that are hazardous to one's health.
Use the vacuum cleaner only
WARNING
when you fully understand and
can perform all functions without limitation, or
have received appropriate instructions. A thor-
ough introduction reduces operating errors and in-
juries.
The vacuum cleaner is suitable
WARNING
only for vacuuming dry materials.
The penetration of liquids increases the risk of an
electric shock.
The vacuum cleaner may only
be used and stored indoors.
The penetration of rain or moisture into the vacuum
cleaner lid increases the risk of an electric shock.

 Have the vacuum cleaner repaired only
through qualified specialists and only using
original spare parts. This ensures that the safety
of your vacuum cleaner is maintained.
 Do not clean the vacuum cleaner with a water
jet pointed directly at it. The penetration of wa-
ter into the vacuum cleaner lid increases the risk
of an electric shock.
 The intake port and ventilation slots must not
be shut, covered or clogged. This is to ensure
proper operation of the motor.
 Do not vacuum any sharp-edged objects such
as broken glass, nails, stones, needles or ra-
zor blades. This is to ensure that the filter is not
damaged.
 Do not open the battery. Danger of short-circuit-
ing.
Protect the battery against heat, e. g.,
against continuous intense sunlight, fire,
water, and moisture. Danger of explosion.
 When battery pack is not in use, keep it away
from other metal objects like paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal
objects that can make a connection from one
terminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-
nals together may cause burns or a fire.
 Under abusive conditions, liquid may be eject-
ed from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irrita-
tions or burns.
 In case of damage and improper use of the
battery, vapours may be emitted. Ventilate the
area and seek medical help in case of com-
plaints. The vapours can irritate the respiratory
system.
 Recharge only with the charger specified by
the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for
one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire
when used with another battery pack.
 Use the battery only in conjunction with your
Berner product. This measure alone protects
the battery against dangerous overload.
 The battery pack can be damaged by pointed
objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by
force applied externally. An internal short cir-
cuit can occur and the battery pack can burn,
smoke, explode or overheat.
