FULL SKIMMER ASSEMBLY/RE-ASSEMBLY
REEF-Skim Nano 50 & 100
These skimmers come almost fully assembled. For initial setup follow photos NANO 3 - 6
below. If you are re-assembling after carrying out maintenance/cleaning please follow photos
NANO 1 - 9 below to re-assemble correctly.
Please note:-
1.
These models are hang-on skimmers and are for use inside the aquarium or sump.
2.
The sponges help stop bubbles returning to the aquarium and the coarse or fine sponge
should be used as required to help stop bubbles exiting the skimmer.
3.
There is no water level adjustment dial on the REEF-Skim Nano. To adjust the water level,
gently twist the collection cup whilst slowly pulling it upwards or pushing it downwards
(see photos NANO 8 & 9 below). To attain a wet or dry skim, follow the instructions in
"First and initial operation" on the following pages, adjusting the water level with the
collection cup rather than the water level adjustment dial as stated. Please note: the REEF-
Skim Nano is ozone safe.
4.
For further fine tuning of water flow and to achieve optimum skimming performance the
water flow adjuster on the side of the pump should also be used (see photo NANO 4).
5.
Empty and clean collection cup and neck frequently and regularly clean or replace sponges to
ensure optimum performance. Failure to do so will result in operating problems and/or leaks.
