buffing and polishing for increased protection against corrosion and 618T40

To ensure that the lock mechanism is triggered at the same time, both
17Y41 Lock Hammers can be fixed tightly with the 17Y30 Lock Bale after
arranging. For welded and soldered connections, use the 17Y53 Connec-
tion Sleeve. The Lock Bale must be connected to a tension element (e.g.
rubber traction), in order for the lower joint section to engage.
NOTICE
Damage caused by heat. Do not apply heat in excess of 300 °C (572 °F),
or the material's temper will be destroyed.
INFORMATION
The Lock Bale should be contoured in such a way that the Lock Hammers
(4) will not bump each other at the Upper Joint Sections (1) during flexion.
INFORMATION
Before delivering the orthosis to the patient, make sure that both locks
are parallel and engaging safely. Instruct the patient on how to handle
the orthosis properly.
2.2 Maintenance
To ensure proper function, make sure no dirt particles enter the joint mecha-
nism. Use appropriate protection devices (e.g. joint covers), as necessary.
Use only 633F7 Special Lubricant.
CAUTION
Risk of falling as a result of wear. Visible wear of the lock mechanism
may affect the patient's safety. Replace the wedge lock and/or the lower
joint section, as necessary.
2.3 Maintenance
We recommend semi-annual maintenance.
