Checking display stability

Detach the hose at the exhaust gas measurement
inlet of the BEA 055.

There must not be any engine exhaust gases, gaso-
line or cleaning agent vapors in the atmosphere in
the vicinity of the BEA 055.
Select "Diagnosis >> Engine/gas values" in the Bosch
Emissions Analysis. The current gas values are dis-
played following zero calibration and the HC residue
test.
Observe the display for approx. 2 minutes with regard
to limit values and stability.

NO sensor

Over the course of time, the NO sensor is subject to
wear. The NO measurement zero point is constantly
monitored. In the event of deviation, the following fault
message appears: "
NO channel setting outside
tolerance
". The NO sensor must then be replaced
and the NO channel re-adjusted (refer to program
description of test system).

Always use the genuine NO sensor (NOXO 100 Nitric
Oxide Sensor; order number 1 687 224 954).
The NO sensor contains acid.
Acids cause severe burns on bare skin.
