Preparation:
GB
Prepare a work surface, covering it with a wax cloth or some newspaper. Wear an old apron to protect your clothing.
Use a brush to apply a little washing up liquid to the inside of each mould. This will make it easier to remove the mould.
Then assemble the moulds and clip them together firmly before placing them on a waterproof tablecloth. Stick the scotch tape along the joint of the moulds
to ensure a good seal.
Preparing the plaster:
In a bowl, pour 1 spoonful of water to 2 spoonfuls of plaster. Stir the mixture carefully (to prevent too many bubbles from forming).
If your plaster is too thick, add a little water. If your plaster is too liquid, wait several seconds before pouring it into the mould.
Making your model:
Pour the mixture into the mould. Repeat the operation until the mould is completely filled. Check that it is well filled as there may be some plaster leakage.
When you fill the legs or hard-to-reach places, tilt your mould using a wedge (for example: by balancing it on the edge of a cloth or book).
Leave it to harden overnight. Gently remove from the mould to see the result. Several holes may appear in the mould. In this case, plug the hold with a little
plaster using a brush. You can sand down any imperfections using sand paper. Have fun painting your horse any way you want.
WARNING:
If you make several batches in advance, the mixture may not be usable. Clean your bowl by removing the surplus plaster using some newspaper
or paper towels, then discard them. Never put plaster down the sink, as you could block it.
