Preliminary adjustment of the child seat
Adjust the height of the safety harness (G)
before fitting the child seat in the vehicle.
Adjusting the height of the safety harness
Put the child seat on the floor.
Place the child in the seat.
Check that the harness straps are adjusted to
the position closest to the child's shoulders and
preferably in the position just above the child's
shoulders (see fig. 2).
How to move the child seat harness
Press the adjuster button (C) and simultaneously
pull both safety harness straps (fig. 3).
Release one safety harness strap from the T-
shaped metal clip (M) positioned behind the
backrest of the child seat (fig. 4).
Pull out the harness strap from the backrest.
Pull out the metal clip (L) from the backrest (fig. 5).
Insert the metal clip (L) and the harness strap
(G) at the required height (fig. 6 and 7).
Re-attach the harness strap to the T-shaped
metal clip (fig. 8).
Repeat the procedure with the other strap.
Warning: ensure that both straps are threaded
through the padding (F) and that the rubber side
is facing the body of the child.
Warning: ensure that the straps are not twisted.
Warning: ensure that the metal clips (L) holding
the padding in place cannot come loose from
the backrest.
How to recline the child seat
Pull the adjustable position handle (A) and
simultaneously move the seat forwards or
backwards to the required inclination (fig. 9).
Warning: once you have released the handle,
always check that the child seat is locked in the
chosen position.
Using the child seat
Position the child seat on one of the rear
seats or on the front passenger seat.
Warning: the child seat must be facing the
direction in which the vehicle travels.
Warning: in some countries the Highway
Code prohibits the fitting of child seats on
front seats. Check the Highway Code of the
country you are in.
Warning: do not place the child seat on a
front seat if there is an active airbag.
Warning: do not place the child seat on a
seat fitted with only a lap safety belt.
Warning: do not insert anything between the
child seat and the seat of the vehicle.
Warning: do not locate the child seat on
swivel seats or seats facing the opposite
direction to that in which the vehicle travels.
How to fit the child seat in a vehicle
Position the child seat on the seat of the vehicle
so that it is resting fully against the seat and
backrest (fig. 10).
Warning: the safety belt positioning points
are coloured in red. Do not locate the car
safety belt in positions other than those shown.
Completely recline the child seat so as to
facilitate the passage of the car safety belt.
Pass the car safety belt waist strap between the
base (K) and the child seat (I) (fig. 11).
Fasten the car safety belt (fig. 12).
Lower the tab of the safety belt lock (J)
positioned on the back of the shell; pass the car
safety belt chest strap through the safety belt
lock (fig. 13).
Warning: tighten the car safety belt well to
eliminate any play.
Warning: check that the car safety belt is not
twisted at any point.
How to remove the child seat
Release the car safety belt.
Lower the tab and remove the safety belt from
the safety belt lock (J).
Pull out the car safety belt from the child seat
and allow it to retract.
How to position the child
Press the red button on the buckle (E) to open it
(fig. 14).
Separate the buckles and rest them on the
