2.3 Driver installation for Windows XP
1. Windows will detect and install the modem automatically, like a 'Generic
SoftK56' modem.
2. Please update the driver with the driver from the driver CD-ROM.
3. Please insert your driver CD-ROM. Go to: Start-> Run-> Click 'Browse'
4. Browse to the location 'D:\HSFi\WinXP' of 'D:\Drivers\WinXP' (assuming 'D:\' is
your CD-ROM drive), select 'HXFSetup'. Click 'Open'
5. Click 'OK' to continue, the driver will be updated automatically.
6. After the driver update the modem is installed like a 'SoftK56 Data Fax Voice
Speakerphone CARP'.
3. Modem Country Selection
3.1 Modem Country selection for Windows 98(SE)
1. Go to: Start-> Settings-> Control Panel -> System
2. Click 'Device Manager' tab -> Double click the modem
3. Click 'Region Select' tab. Select the preferred region. Click 'Apply'.
4. Click 'Ok' to continue.
3.2 Modem Country selection for Windows ME, 2000 and XP
1. Go to: Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Double click the 'HSF Modem Region
Select' icon.
2. Select the preferred country from the list and click 'Ok'.
4. Uninstalling procedure
4.1 Uninstallation for windows 98(SE) / ME
1. Go to: Start-> Settings-> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs.
2. Select 'SoftK56 Data fax Voice Speakerphone CARP', click 'Add/Remove'
4.2 Modem uninstallation for Windows 2000 / XP
1. Go to: Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Add/Remove program.
2. Select 'SoftK56 Data fax Voice Speakerphone CARP', click 'Change/Remove'
3. Click 'Yes' to end the procedure and to restart your computer.
