OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING
• ALWAYS remove the battery pack before making any adjustments or installing accessories.
Failure to do so could result in accidental starting, which can cause serious personal injury.
1. To Attach Battery Pack
a. Align the raised portion on the battery pack
with the grooves on the bottom of the tool,
then slide the battery pack onto the tool, as
shown.
b. Make sure that the latches on the battery
pack snap into place and the battery pack is
secured to the tool before beginning operation.
NOTICE: When placing the battery pack on the
tool, be sure that the raised rib on the battery pack
aligns with the groove on the tool and the latches
snap into place properly. Improper assembly of
the battery pack can cause damage to internal
components.
To Detach Battery Pack
a. Press the battery-release buttons to release the battery pack.
b. Pull backward on the battery pack to remove it from the tool.
WARNING
• Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, always remove the battery pack
when the tool is not in use or when carrying the compact router at your side.
2. Removing/Installing the Fixed Base
To Remove the Fixed Base
a. Move the ON/OFF switch (A) to "O" position to
turn the tool off. Remove the battery.
b. Place the tool on a flat surface.
c. Open the motor clamp (D) to loosen the fixed
base (C).
d. Lift the motor housing free of the fixed base.
To Installing the Motor into Fixed Base
a. With the back of the fixed base (C) facing the
operator, loosen the motor clamp (D).
b. Align the motor-housing key strip with the
gears in the fixed base. Slide the motor
housing down into the fixed base.
c. The motor housing will slide up or down,
permitting coarse adjustments.
d. Tighten the motor clamp securely.
