Electrical system for towing hitch
15. Insert the supplied miniature relay (Fig. 1/3) into the relay socket. Secure the relay socket on
the cable harness using cable ties.
Note
Use appropriate measuring instruments to measure the vehicle signals!
16. To connect the rear fog lamp, connect the white/blue wire with the orange/black vehicle wire
(1 mm²).
17. To connect the back-up light, connect the green cable with the grey/red vehicle cable
(Fig. 1/2).
18. Connect the 2-pin plug to the matching counterpart on the vehicle's cable harness under the
right tail light (Fig. 1/8).
Special information concerning vehicles with parking distance control (PDC)
On vehicles equipped with a parking distance control, the parking distance control is deactivated
when using a trailer.
Checking correct operation
19. Reconnect the ground of the vehicle's battery.
20. Check the trailer function with the help of a suitable test instrument (with load resistors) or
with the help of a trailer.
21. Secure all cables using cable ties.
22. Refit any parts removed for installation.
