ments in technology, safety and design.
This manual describes the fitting process, the correct use of the product
and important safety information. Store this user's manual in a place that is
accessible to all users at all times.
PROPER USE AND
Please note:
SAFETY INFORMATION
• Read this user's manual carefully from beginning to end
and follow the instructions it contains.
• When using the Caree dog crate for the first time,
follow the instructions on the "Fitting instructions"
supplementary sheet.
• The crate can be secured in position with the vehicle's
seat belts or Isofix.
Use
• The Caree dog crate must only be used for transporting dogs.
• The crate must not be used for transporting children.
• The "Isofix belts" accessory is used to secure the dog crate to the vehicle's
rear seats and must be attached properly and safely. Ensure that the Isofix
ISOFIX
coupling is always engaged correctly and securely.
AIRBAG PASSENGER
ON

• If, in exceptional cases, you are using a Caree dog crate on the
passenger seat, the passenger airbag must be deactivated.
There is a risk of death for the dog if the passenger airbag is not
deactivated!
• Reactivate the passenger airbag as soon as you no longer require
the dog crate, so that the airbag can provide protection again.
• The driver is responsible for activating and deactivating the
passenger airbag.

Safety information
• The crate must not prevent you from driving safely (handbrake/gear stick).
• The crate must not be used if it would restrict your view to the outside.
• In particularly sunny weather and if the doors are closed, the inside of the
vehicle may become very hot, which can be uncomfortable for animals.
In high outside temperatures, open the window closest to the dog crate.
In summer or in high temperatures, dogs must not be left in a stationary
vehicle for more than 15 minutes.
• Follow the instructions in your car manufacturer's manual.
• The Caree dog crate must not be improperly used or modified after pur-
chase and no attachments of any kind must be fitted to the dog crate unless
expressly permitted by the manufacturer. Parts that were screwed on by
the manufacturer may only be removed or replaced by the factory or an au-
thorised specialist. The manufacturer shall accept no liability in the event
of accidents or faults of any kind resulting from improper use.
• The information on the crate regarding maximum load, (rated load) trans-
port of animals and possible use in the specific country are binding.
• You can find information about the rated load on the product label on the
back of the crate.
• Safety check: Before each journey, check the load to make sure that it is
properly secured. Always adapt your driving to the traffic conditions. The
provisions of the StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations) and
the StVO (German Road Traffic Regulations) must be complied with for the
entire duration of use. The permissible total weight must not be exceeded
(unladen weight + load). The provisions of the StVO (German Road Traffic
Regulations) must be complied with for loading.
• In addition, if you are intending to take the Caree dog crate on any trips or
journeys that cross national borders, find out what local regulations apply
in each of the countries you will be travelling in.
• Industrial property rights in the listed countries.
