THE FOLLOWING DIAGRAM SHOWS THE LOCATION OF THE SETTING
CROWN AND THE TWO SETTING BUTTONS. THE POSITIONS OF THE
VARIOUS DIGITAL DISPLAYS FOR EACH MODE (FUNCTION) ARE ALSO
SHOWN. USE THIS DIAGRAM FOR REFERENCE WITH THESE
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS, AND WHEN SETTING THE WATCH,
UNTIL YOU BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE OPERATION OF THIS
TIMEPIECE.
Your new watch features a combination of a three hand analog display for
the time, together with a full dial, digital display having numerous display
options and functions. Items #1 to 9 are listed in sequence as they are
accessed on the watch:
1. Analog three hand display only.
2. Analog hands and digital date display.
3. "T1" - display of digital time (12 or 24 hour base) and date.
4. "T2" - display of a second (time zone) digital time and date.
5. Display of month/date/year (or; date/month/year) up to year 2099,
including day of the week (four language options) plus week number of
the year.
6. "AL" - daily alarm function with date.
7. "AG" - Calendar alarm (for future date) function.
8. "CHR" - chronograph function, up to 99 days, with "add" and "split"
options.
9. "TM" - countdown timer function (up to 99 days).
10. Dial "backlight" function (6 seconds).
11. "EOL" - End Of Life function or weak battery indicator.
12. Battery saver function for watch storage, with automatic "catch-up" on
restart.
13. Digital "arrow" indicators, next to the crown and buttons, to assist in
setting procedures.
14. Electronic Setting for all functions.
SECTION I - PRELIMINARY NOTES
A. MODE SELECTION
The mode (function) is selected by turning the crown (in position "1", see
diagram), using a somewhat rapid motion. Do not turn too slowly or the
mode displayed will not change. Each display change takes about a half
turn (180 degrees) of the crown. The "mode code", when present, will show
in the upper left digital window. The display will advance in the following
sequence, forward or backwards, depending on the direction in which the
crown is turned:

B. ACCESSING THE ALTERNATE MODE DISPLAYS
Some of the preceding numbered mode functions have an alternate display.
#1. In the Hands only mode - button "A" turns date display at 3 o'clock on or off.
#2. In Normal time/Secondary time mode - button "B" alternates the "T1"
#3. In Full Date mode - button "A" turns the week number display on or off.

SECTION II - SETTING THE VARIOUS TIME FUNCTIONS
A. TIME SYNCHRONIZATION
For correct operation of the watch, the normal time (T1) shown by the
analog hands and the digital time MUST BE THE SAME. If they are not,
follow the below procedure to correct the hands to show the same as the
digital time.
Note: The correct time is not important in this step. If it is incorrect - ignore
it. The purpose is to synchronize the two times shown. The correct time will
be set into the watch in a later step.
1. By turning the crown, go to the digital display which shows either a
