GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This product must be grounded. This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding
conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly
installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
This heater is for use on 120 volts circuit and has a grounded plug that looks like the one illustrated on
Figure 1. See Figure 1 for grounding instruction. An adapter as shown at C is available for connecting
three-blade grounding type plugs to two-slot receptacles. The green grounding plug extending from the
adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box. The adapter
should not be used if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available.

Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock,
fire, serious bodily injury, death or property damage. Check with qualified electrician or service
person if you are in doubt as to whether your electrical outlet is properly grounded. Do not
modify the plug provided with the product. If it will not fit the outlet; have a proper outlet
installed by qualified electrician. Failure to follow these directions could result in fire, shock,
serious bodily injury, death or property damage.
Note:
A 15amp, 120 volt circuit is required. A dedicated circuit is preferred but not essential in all cases.
A dedicated circuit will be required if, after installation, the circuit breaker trips or a fuse blows on
a regular basis when the heater is operating. Additional appliances on the same circuit may
exceed the rating of the circuit breaker. Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you
have any question regarding the electrical wiring or circuitry in your home of the location where
you wish to use the heater
