Solar panels from these kits can be mounted on the curb side or street side roof
area of the vehicle body. Mounting on the street side area can provide better pro-
tection from hazards such as tree limbs.
NOTE: Assess the condition of the mounting surface before installing the solar panels.
Measure any surface obstructions to ensure correct fi t. Clean the mounting
surface with isopropyl alcohol or acetone to remove any contaminants that may
interfere with adhesion.
1. Measure and mark the position of solar panel (Kit item) on the roof
of truck/trailer body near the rear corner post on battery box side of
vehicle (FIG. 5-1). See TABLE 5-1 for layout of solar cells.
