12 OR 24 V DC CONTROLLED OUTPUT
The controlled output is controlled by an electronic switch that can switch off or on the devices of your
installation. You can connect DC, 12V or 24V devices, such as a light, a pump, a motor..., depending on the
battery that is connected.
The maximum continuous power accepted is 15A (or 200W in 12V or 400W en 24V).
Some consumers have a higher starting current draw than the stated power rating. UNIMPPT authorizes
these occasional over-consumptions within the limit of 40A during 1s.
Nevertheless, you can directly connect the devices to the battery without going through the connections of
the Unimppt, thus consuming directly of of the battery. However, the overload protections and more
importantly the battery undervoltage protection will not be ensured. You will have to ensure it yourself, by
keeping an eye on the battery status lights and cut off the devices if necessary.
GROUNDING – INSTALLATION CLASS
The grounding of the solar charge controller is often not needed. If you want to ground anyway, always do
this on the negative pole of the battery.
If the open circuit voltage of your solar panels is higher than 75 V (throughout the complete operating
temperature range), the whole solar system must be installed according to the II class of protection.
