POWER SUPPLY
Battery (not included)
• Open battery door and insert two alkaline batteries, type R6, UM3
or AA as indicated inside the compartment.
• Remove the batteries from the set if they are exhausted or not to be
used for a long time.
Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be
disposed of properly.
RADIO RECEPTION
1. Turn VOLUME/ POWER OFF clockwise to switch on the radio.
• You will hear a small click when switching on.
2. Adjust the volume level with VOLUME/ POWER OFF.
3. For personal listening, connect headphones with a 3.5 mm plug to
the p socket.
• The built-in speaker will then be muted.
4. Adjust the band switch to FM/MW or LW to select your waveband.
5. Tune to the desired radio station by turning the TUNING wheel.
• For FM, pull out the telescopic aerial. Reduce its length if the FM
signal is too strong (very close to a transmitter).
• For MW (or LW), the set is provided with a built-in aerial. Turn the
whole set to find the best position.
6. T o switch off the set, turn VOLUME/ POWER OFF anti-clockwise
until you hear a small click.
