Certified electricians
Electrical work must be carried out by a certified electrician.
Due to their technical training, knowledge and experience as well as their familiar-
ity with relevant standards and regulations, certified electricians are able to per-
form work on electrical systems and independently detect possible dangers.
In Germany, certified electricians must fulfill the requirements of accident-preven-
tion regulations DGUV (German Social Accident Insurance) provision 3 (e.g. elec-
trician foreman). In other countries, there are respective regulations that must be
observed.
Safety notices
CAUTION
The connection unit is not a safety component acc. to the EU machin-
ery directive.

Do not use the connection unit for safety functions.

Design the system into which the optoelectronic sensors are em-
bedded in such a way that in the event of sensor malfunction or
failure of the voltage supply persons and property are not placed
at risk (protected against consequential damages - fail safe).

Mounting
Installation via holes for M 4-sized screws in the case or via a mounting system
(accessory).
NOTICE
Degree of protection IP 67!
Degree of protection IP 67 is achieved only if the connectors and caps
are screwed into place.
