USE
1. Choose the appropriate cutting iron for the wheel stud.
2. Lubricate the damaged wheel stud with grease or thick machine oil.
3. Pull the two halves, which are connected by an elastic spring, apart of the cutting iron and
position them onto an undamaged part of the thread (usually at the bolt end).
4. Place the adapter over the wheel stud onto the split die. Attention: The two dowel pins must
reach into the corresponding openings of the cutting iron.
5. Push the adapter all the way so that the cutting iron is completely enclosed by the adapter.
6. Turn the adapter with a suitable drive tool (32 mm socket with sliding handle is best suited)
counterclockwise and over the damaged threaded part.
7. Be sure to turn the die back one-half turn at regular intervals to break the chip. Continue the
process until the die disengages from the bolt thread.
8. Clean the bolt, remove the grease and any resulting metal chips.
9. Check the restored thread by carefully screwing on a wheel nut. Observe the specifications of the
vehicle manufacturer regarding lubricating or not lubricating the wheel bolts.
10. Clean the cutting iron and then return it into the storage box.
