Applications
Follow the starting and operating instructions supplied with the pump.
NOTE! Always protect the AquaPlug so that no moisture will pen-
etrate into the plug. Do not place the AquaPlug on the ground.
Protection according to IP44.
c
AquaPlug should always be removed from the power supply
prior to pump service or relocation of the pump.
Start sequence AquaPlug
1. Make sure you have a XJ, XJC or XJS pump equipped with an AquaTronic
unit (from now on called "pump").
2. Connect pump to AquaPlug.
3. Connect AquaPlug and pump to power supply.
4. After approximately 1 seconds, pump shall start running.
5. Green button shall flash under a short period telling that AquaPlug is par-
ing with the pump.
6. Green buttons turns constantly green when paring is done.
7. You can ensure that connection to the correct pump is done by stopping
pump with red button and observe that pump stops pumping, then turn
pump back on running by pressing green button.
8. If pump has been running with the same plug before, it will remain in
pump status as when it was disconnected.
Pairing
The plugs have a built in memory of which pump they were paired to last
time, this is done to ensure that the plugs will find the correct pumps if a
power failure occurs on more than one pump in an installation.
There are two time outs in the system.
1. Pairing time out: Which means that if pairing does not occur in one min-
ute, the plug will not continue to search for a pump. This is done to ensure
that the plug will not pair with and control a "foreign" pump.
2. Power time out: This means that a pump will not pair with a plug which
has been powered a shorter time than itself. This is done to ensure that
the plug takes control of the pump it was plugged in with.

Energy save mode
The pump can run with an AquaTronic in Energy Save Mode (when blue
button is activated).
Connected with a level sensor measuring probe, the level of water is de-
tected and the pump starts when water is touching the probe. It will auto-
matically be stopped when the water level is beneath the hydraulic parts.
The pump starts again when water touches the sensor.
Trouble shooting
If pairing has not been successful it can depend on;
1. Occasional disturbance on cable. – Try to make pairing once again.
2. Constant disturbance on power line. Can be caused of other electrical
devices like frequency converters. If this is the case, try to put on exten-
sion cable more than 2 meter between power source and plug. (This will
give enough resistance to filter most disturbance away.)
If none of above tests will work try to use a different power supply.
NOTE! Do not disassemble the AquaPlug.
Power indication light.
Normal power indication is green.
Warning light is red.

Ring of lights to clarify pump status:
warning light
■ Green light - pump is running
■ Flashing red light - pump is stopped due to alarm.
■ Blue light - pump is on energy save mode
Red button is used to stop pump.
Button lights up red when pump are stopped.
Blue button to be pressed for energy save mode when the pump is
equipped with a level sensor (automatic stop/run).
Button light up blue when energy save mode is on.
Button is flashing blue when pump is not pumping in energy save
mode.
Green button is used to put pump in continues running mode.
This is the standard start mode.
Button is light up green when pump is running.
When starting flashing green, light indicates plug pairing with pump.
