Instructions for changing the UV-C tube
To replace the UV-C tube, please follow these instructions exactly
In any case, make sure that the UVCARE® is disconnected from the power supply.
Do not reconnect the air purifier until the housing is correct
is assembled.

We recommend having the tubes replaced by a
specialist or by the manufacturer. This will be
necessary after an operating time of ≥ 9,000 h (min. 1
year). Do not use the product after the maximum
service life has been exceeded, as this may provide
deceptive safety. To check the radiation intensity, you
can order a separate test kit.
Never insert objects (of any kind) into the inlet or outlet
openings, as this may cause an electric shock and
damage the fan. The unit is self-cleaning on the inside,
there is no filter or similar. From the outside,

UVCARE
can be cleaned with a damp towel if
necessary. Make sure that no liquid gets inside the
®
UVCARE
. The product must be installed out of reach
of children. In the event of any visible defects, the
device must be taken out of operation immediately and
sent to the manufacturer for inspection.

How long can UVCARE
be operated?
There are no restrictions on the operation of
®
UVCARE
. 24 h operation is permissible. Disinfection
of the room air starts immediately at the specified air
flow rate. After an operating time of at least 9,000 h,
the UVC tube must be replaced with an original
®
UVCARE
replacement tube. It is also essential to
observe the tube replacement instructions. Disconnect
®
the UVCARE
completely from the mains and do not
reconnect until the conversion work has been
®
completed and the UVCARE
is completely closed
again.
The UVC tube contains mercury (Hg) and must be
disposed of in accordance with local regulations that
also apply to fluorescent tubes, for example at the
local recycling center.

Are there any side effects when operating the
®
UVCARE
?
®
UVCARE
destroys the reproductive capacity of
viruses (incl. Sars-CoV-2), bacteria and fungi. The
UVC radiation used in this process can release ozone
in
a
purely
physical
process.
However,
concentration is negligible and the ozone decays in a
very short time. An odor typical of ozone is only
noticeable rarely and in extreme exceptional situations
for a very short time. This does not pose a health
hazard.

The noise level of the UVCARE
is very low at 25.1
dB(A). Depending on how you feel, people may still be

disturbed by the noise of the fan in a completely quiet
environment.
If you experience any side effects, stop using
®
UVCARE
for the time being and contact the
manufacturer.

Further information / blue light hazard
®
UVCARE
filterless air purifiers contain an extremely
powerful UVC emitter. Even if no UVC radiation is
emitted from the housing, a blue glow can be seen.
This is normal light in the visible range. However,
strong blue glowing light can damage the retina,
regardless of the light source, so the blue light hazard
®
of UVCARE
has been tested. According to the safety
classification in Class II, damage can occur when
looking into the slit opening of the UVCARE
distance of 20 cm (0.20 m) for a period of 25 minutes.
This is virtually impossible in regular use.
®
UVCARE
is
not a complete replacement for
protective masks and other hygiene measures, but
supplements them accordingly.
