The unit may only be operated at a power receptacle with protective earth conductor – safety class1.
Warning! The protective earth conductor must never be interrupted even for test purposes! This may be dangerous
to life!
1. Check your local mains voltage before connecting the PS‐630E. This device is normally set up for an AC line voltage
of 230 Volts, 50 to 60Hz. The local rules and regulations have to be observed.
2. Connect the device to the battery with correct polarity!
3. Before operating check all connections for correct polarity!
Disconnect the power cord before removing the cover.
When repairing devices, the general precautions and actions regarding electrostatic discharge have to be taken.
The Emergency Power Manager PS‐630E is intended for use over a range of ambient temperatures from –5 °C to +40 °C.
During transport or storage temperatures from –20°C to +70°C are permissible.
This appliance may only be used in accordance with its intended purpose: Power supply unit, output distributor and
battery charger for voice alarm systems.
A high current fuse has to be inserted externally into the main battery connection.
Use only VRLA (valve regulated lead acid) batteries. Replace batteries only with the same type, otherwise there is the
danger of explosion, as charging current or end‐of‐charge voltage may be too high.
Special care has to be taken when connecting or changing batteries. There is the danger of explosion, if batteries are
shorted.
Batteries have to be disposed or recycled only according to the local rules and regulations.
