Cleaning the Rice Cooker
w WARNING
1. Unplug cord from wall outlet.
2. Wash cooking pot, lid, rice measuring cup, and paddle in hot,
soapy water or top rack in the dishwasher.
3. Rinse, dry, and reassemble to store.
4. Wipe base with a soft, damp cloth, or a scrub pad safe
for all surfaces. Do not clean with abrasive cleansers.
TIPS:
• Allow rice to "stand" for approximately 5 to 10 minutes after
cooking is complete. This will give you a better-textured rice.
• Give rice an additional flavor by substituting chicken, beef, or
vegetable broth for the water.
• Always keep opened uncooked rice in an airtight container.
• Store cooked rice in your refrigerator up to 3 to 5 days.
• Brown rice can be kept in your freezer up to 6 months to
extend its shelf life.
• Add cooked leftover rice to recipes such as meatloaf, soups,
and casseroles to feed more people.
