To enable the cooker hood and hob to
"locate" each other so that they can
establish communication, both
appliances need to be signed on.
Both appliances must be installed and
fitted with the appropriate
communication modules and
connected to the mains electricity
supply.
You only need to carry out the signing
on procedure once.
If the appliances are disconnected from
the electricity supply, during a power
cut for example, they will still remain
signed on.
Important: Sign the cooker hood on
first, followed by the hob.
Signing on the cooker hood
^ Switch off the fan and the hob
lighting.
^ Touch the Run-on sensor m for
approx. 10 seconds until the 1 sensor
lights up.
^ Then press in turn:
– the sensor 1,
– then sensor 4,
– then the control for the hob lighting n.
If the automatic mode has not been
activated, the indicator lamps for fan
power levels 2 and 3 will flash
simultaneously.
en - Establishing communication
^ Press the sensor 4 to activate auto-
matic mode.
The signing on process will start and
the indicator lamps for fan power levels
2 and 3 will flash alternately.
The signing on process will take a few
minutes.
After the signing on process has been
completed successfully, the indicator
lamps for fan power levels 2 and 3 will
light up constantly.
^ Confirm signing on with the control
for the run-on option m. All the
indicator lamps will go out.
If you do not confirm within 4 minutes,
the cooker hood will not be signed on.
Signing on the hob
^ Please refer to the fitting and
installation instructions supplied with
communication module
XKM 2000/2100 KM*** for information
on how to sign on the hob.
The hob can only be signed on after the
signing on of the cooker hood is
complete.
Automatic mode will be active a few
seconds after completing the signing
on procedure.
