Painting the sensors
- Paint the sensors to match the colour of the vehicle (recommended paint thickness
max 100 μm). During painting, proceed according to the instructions and recommendations
of the paint maker (material of sensors - metal + EPDM).
- When dried, take the painted sensors out of the template. Put the template to sorted
garbage.
- Dismantle the plastic casing from the sensor and remove any excessive paint off the rubber
around the sensor area in a suitable manner (scrape it off).
- Slide a new casing of the set on the sensor (F). Adjust all sensors in the above described
manner. Put the removed casings to sorted garbage.

- Layout scheme of individual parts of the rear parking assistant set in the vehicle.
- 4, 5, 6 -
Holes ø 8 mm
- The spots for drilling the holes for parking sensors are premoulded on the bumper from the
production (circle in rectangle).
- Mark the centre of the circle with a suitable marker. First drill a 3 mm diameter hole in the
marked spot. Then re-drill the hole to 8 mm diameter. Prepare all 3 holes in the above
described manner.

Holes ø 18 mm
- Use the
BEA 000 001 punching tool (or a step drill) to punch the holes (of 18 mm dia.) into the
bumper.
Advice. When using the step drill, drill first the holes from the outer
side of the bumper. Finish the holes from the inner side.
Remove possible burrs at the holes and clean the holes.

Placing the parking sensors
- Observe the layout of the parking sensors according to their colour: outside ones - blue;
middle ones - black.
Advice. The sensors must not get mixed up.

Running the parking sensor wires through
- Remove the blind flange on the left side (in the direction of the drive) of the rear front of the
car. Run the parking sensor wires through the hole and carefully adjust the bushing (D) - is
included in the parking sensor wire harness.
