Turn on the sharpener
A grinding noise (zzzzZZZZZzzzz) should be heard at the end of each half turn and during
the sharpening of each side of the drill bit.
The number of half turns depends on the drill bit diameter. E.g. :
Ø 2.5 mm drill bit from 2 to 4 half turns.
Ø 3.2 mm drill bit from 4 to 6 half turns.
Ø 9.5 mm drill bit from 16 to 20 half turns.

Insert the chuck into the sharpe-
ning window by aligning the white
mark (a) of the chuck to the metal
stud (b) in the sharpening window

After the sharpening operation engage the chuck a first
time in the thinning window by aligning the window marker
(c) with the chuck marker (a), then remove the chuck from
the window and rotate it 180° to reengage it using the

opposite marker (a'),

If the taper angle is insufficient :
Relaign the drill bit by introducing the chuck guide into one
of the notches to the left of the 118° mark, Then repeat the
sharpening operation.

Carry out an even number of
half turns (clockwise) by firmly
pressing the chuck cam on the
cam guide.
Pressure must be constant and
the movement must be even.
