Installation & Mounting:
Remove the unit and examine for transit damage. If damage is
found, or parts are missing, contact the transit company or ECCO.
Do not use damaged or broken parts.
1.
Mark the mounting location. Be sure the flashtube won't
interfere with anything in the intended mounting location.
2.
Make a 1.0 inch diameter hole using a chassis punch or drill.
3.
Carefully insert the unit into the hole.
4.
Plug in the cable from the power supply. See Figure 1.
5.
Strain relief the cable using cable ties or equivalent.
Troubleshooting:
Warning:
The power supply outputs are hazard-
ous. To avoid the risk of electrical shock, turn the unit off and
wait 2 minutes before plugging or unplugging the strobe output
cables.
1.
No Flashtubes work.
Check for a blown fuse.
Check that the proper voltage gets to the Red power wire of
power supply.
Try replacing the flashtube first!
If these are ok, then do the following:
Disconnect all strobes at the power supply.
Plug strobes in one at a time.
If none work, replace the power supply.
If one or more work, plug one that didn't work into a connec-
tion that does work. If it now works, then replace
the power supply. Otherwise, replace the cable/flashtube. (If
you can plug a new flashtube to replace the defective flash-
tube, then you can determine if it's the cable or the flashtube.)
2.
One or more Flashtubes do not work.
Try replacing the flashtube first!
If these are ok, then do the following:
At the power supply, plug one that didn't work into a connec-
tion that does work. If it now works, then replace the power
supply. Otherwise, replace the cable/flashtube. (If you can
plug a new flashtube to replace the defective flashtube, then
you can determine if it's the cable or the flashtube.)
