OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
INSERTING OR REPLACING BATTERY
Turn battery compartment cover (K) clockwise and pull it off. Insert one "AA" battery,
placing the (+) end in first. Replace the battery cover and turn it counter-clockwise
until it stops. To reduce the risk of pulled hairs, replace battery at first sign of
weakness. Do not leave battery in unit if it is not going to be used for a long period
of time. For best performance, use an alkaline type battery.
CHANGING ATTACHMENTS
Turn the trimmer OFF. Remove an attachment by turning it counter-clockwise and
pulling off trimmer. Replace an attachment by placing on top of trimmer and turning
clockwise into the locked position.
TRIMMING HAIR FROM NOSE
Attach the ear and nose trimmer attachment (B). Clear nasal passages before you
begin. Turn the trimmer on by sliding the ON/OFF switch (L) up. Slowly move tip in
and out of the nostril to remove excess hair. For best results, make sure the side of the
tip is firm against skin. This will reduce the tickling effect that can occur. Caution: Do
not insert tip more than 1/4" into nostril.
TRIMMING HAIR FROM EARS
Attach the ear and nose trimmer attachment. Clean outer area of ear, and make sure it
is free of wax. Pull ear flat to head with one hand, and hold trimmer with the other.
Turn trimmer ON and move tip around edges of ear to remove hairs extending
beyond the outer ear. Then carefully insert tip into outer ear no more than 1/4".
Caution: To avoid injury do not put any part of trimmer into inner ear.
TRIMMING EYEBROWS
Attach the eyebrow trimmer attachment (F). Gently move over areas you want
trimmed. Keep the trimmer away from the eye area. To achieve different lengths of
trim, use the eyebrow comb attachment (D).

USER MAINTENANCE
The internal mechanism of your trimmer has been permanently lubricated at the
factory. Other than the recommended maintenance described in this manual, no other
maintenance should be performed, except by Andis Company or an Andis Authorized
Service Station. Contact our customer service department: 1-800-558-9441 (U.S.)

OILING MUSTACHE TRIMMER ATTACHMENT
Apply one or two drops of oil (E) between the cutting teeth and spread out the oil
evenly. Wipe off excess oil with a soft cloth. Point the trimmer down and away from
you, and turn it ON. This spreads the oil evenly and expels any excess.

attachments with water or other liquid. Always replace the safety cover (A) before
storing.
