Troubleshooting

Battery:
Problem
Battery fails to
charge.
Battery has
reduced run time.
Charger:
Problem
Charger doesn't
work. Charger
shows defective
mode (LED flashes
Red).
Charger doesn't
work. Charger
shows evaluative
mode (LED
indicates Red solid
ON).
TROUBLESHOOTING
Possible Cause
Battery not properly inserted into
battery charger.
Battery is too hot.
Battery is defective.
Charger is defective.
Battery is too old.
Possible Cause
Battery pack or charger is
defective or bad connection
between that battery pack and
the charged.
Battery pack is too hot or too
cold.
Correction
Ensure battery and charger
are firmly connected.
If the battery is hot after
continuous use in charger,
allow it to cool down to
room temperature before
charging.
Replace with a new battery.
Replace with a new charger.
Replace with a new battery.
Correction
Try to remove and reinsert
the battery pack in the
charger.
Try charging a different
battery pack.
Unplug the charger and wait
until the red LED goes out,
then replug the charger to
the power supply.
Allow the battery pack to
reach temperature. Charging
will begin when battery pack
returns to 3°C - 42°C (37°F
- 176°F).
