Always wear SAFETY GLASSES
when installing hitch
1a.) Fascia removal – Using a 7mm socket, remove (4) screws from bottom of fascia and (2) screws located on rear of fascia near license plate area.
b.) Using a T15 torx bit, remove (3) screws from wheel well, each side.
c.) Using a 7mm socket, remove (1) screw located vertically in the upper area of wheel well behind the wheel well liner, both sides.
d.) Remove taillights - open trunk. Using a flat screw driver, open the plastic caps covering the screws holding the taillights. Using a T15 torx bit, remove (2) screws from each taillight and
gently remove the taillights by pulling rearward. Disconnect the wiring harness and set taillights aside.
e.) Using a plastic trim panel tool, remove the plastic fascia starting at the outer edges near the wheel wells and gently pulling the fascia. Disconnect the wiring harness from fascia.
f.) Remove the insulation from end panel and top of bumper beam.
Remove bumper beam – using 15mm socket, remove (6) flange hex nuts from bumper beam. Gently remove bumper beam and set it aside.

Hitch installation – raise the hitch into position aligning holes in hitch with studs on vehicle end panel. Reinstall the bumper beam on top of hitch and loosely reinstall the M10 flange hex

nuts onto studs in end panel, (3) per side. See figure 1.

Tighten all M10 fasteners with torque wrench to 38 Lb.-Ft. (52 N*M).

Reinstall the insulation on top of bumper beam and end panel.
Trim fascia - using a tape measure, marker, and utility knife, cut a notch in the lower part of fascia, approximately 3-1/4" wide x 3" deep, centered on vehicle as shown in figure 2.
7.
Trim fascia – using a utility knife, trim the (2) raised areas located on the inside of fascia, flush with the inside surface of the fascia. See figure 3.
8.
Reinstall fascia, taillights, and wiring – reinstall the fascia and taillights using the original hardware removed in step 1. Be sure to reconnect all wiring to fascia and taillights.

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which
has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety
specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
