Using your FoodSaver
Use only accessories or attachments recommended by the
manufacturer.
1. Place the item into the container base. Do not overfill the
container base with food or liquid past the MAX line.
2. Fit the lid onto the container base. Press firmly on all corners to
ensure the lid is sealed.
3. Fit one end of the accessory hose to the accessory port on your
vacuum sealer and the other end to the container adapter A. Fit
the adapter over the green vacuum valve B on the container lid.
4. Follow the instructions in your FoodSaver
manual on using FoodSaver
5. When vacuum sealing is complete, the vacuum indicator C will
dimple inwards. This tells you that the air has been removed
from the container.
6. To open the lid of the container, press the vacuum valve B
firmly. When the vacuum indicator dimple is released, the
container is ready to open. Pull the lid from its corners to open.

Hints and Tips

• Make sure that your vacuum food sealer and container are
sitting on a flat dry, surface.
• Make sure there are no crumbs or food debris on the container
lid, gasket or vacuum valve. Gaps or an improper seal will
prevent air from being removed.
• Store the vacuum sealed container in an upright position.
• Easily microwave foods in your
Release the vacuum valve and remove the lid prior to
microwaving. Do not microwave the lid. Do not microwave the
container for more than 5 minutes.
• Some deformation of the container base may occur during
vacuuming. This is normal and does not effect performance.
• Do not vacuum package soft cheese, mushrooms, onions or
garlic.
• Do not heat an empty container in the microwave.
• Vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and Brussels
sprouts give off gases when they are stored. Vegetables should
be blanched before vacuum packaging.
IMPORTANT: Vacuum packaging is NOT a substitute for
refrigeration or freezing. Any perishable foods that require
refrigeration must still be refrigerated after vacuum packaging.

for storing and reheating fully cooked foods, soups, sauces and
more. Tomato-based sauces contain a pigment called lycopene,
which is not water-soluble and causes stains to porous materials,
including most plastics. This only affects the appearance of the
product and not the performance.

Care and Cleaning

The container base and lid can be safely washed in the top rack
of the dishwasher.
You can also wash the base, lid, vacuum valve cover

in warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry all parts
thoroughly.

functions due to a design or manufacturing fault, please take it back to the place

JCS (Europe) undertakes within the guarantee period to repair or replace the
appliance, or any part of appliance found to be not working properly free of
charge provided that:
• you promptly notify the place of purchase or JCS (Europe) of the problem;
and
• the appliance has not been altered in any way or subjected to damage,
misuse, abuse, repair or alteration by a person other than a person
authorised by JCS (Europe).
Faults that occur through, improper use, damage, abuse, use with incorrect
voltage, acts of nature, events beyond the control of JCS (Europe), repair or
alteration by a person other than a person authorised by JCS (Europe) or failure
to follow instructions for use are not covered by this guarantee. Additionally,
normal wear and tear, including, but not limited to, minor discoloration and
scratches are not covered by this guarantee.
The rights under this guarantee shall only apply to the original purchaser and
shall not extend to commercial or communal use.
If your appliance includes a country-specific guarantee or warranty insert please
refer to the terms and conditions of such guarantee or warranty in place of this
guarantee or contact your local authorized dealer for more information.
