BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Verify that no accessories are missing and that the appliance is not damaged. Pour
water into the reservoir up to the maximum level of the water gauge and perform
several brewing cycles without ground coffee, then discard the water. Clean and dry
carefully all removable parts in accordance with the chapter "CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE".
USING YOUR COFFEE MAKER
1. Open the top lid and fill the reservoir with cold drinking water.
NOTE: Do not fill the reservoir so the water rises above the maximum water level
indicated by thewater gauge. The appliance can brew a maximum of 5 cups of coffee
at each brewing cycle.
2. Place the filter in the filter holder ensuring the correct positioning, and then place a
paper filter in the filter.
3. Place ground coffee in the paper filter. In general, a level spoon of ground coffee is
appropriate for each cup of coffee, but you can change this quantity depending on
your preferences, and then close the top lid.
4. Place the glass carafe with the lid closed horizontally on the heating plate, ensuring
that the central line of the carafe is aligned with that of the filter holder.
5. Plug the appliance into a mains socket.
6. Press the on/off switch and the switch indicator light comes on and the appliance
is turned on.
Note: The brewing cycle can be interrupted at any time by pressing the on/off switch
again. The indicator light turns off, which indicates that your coffee maker is turned
off.
NOTE: The appliance is designed with a pause/service feature. It allows you at any
time of the brewing cycle to temporarily remove the carafe to pour and serve a cup
of hot coffee. The brewing cycle is not interrupted and the coffee will no longer flow
from the appliance. Simply replace the glass carafe on the hotplate to continue the
brewing cycle. But do not remove the glass carafe for more than 30 seconds and never
replace the empty carafe on the hotplate when the latter is still hot.
7. Remove the carafe to serve coffee when brewing is complete.
NOTE: The quantity of coffee obtained is less than the amount of water poured in
the tank, because a portion of the water is absorbed by the ground coffee.
WARNING: When you are serving the coffee, the momentary tilt angle of the
carafe must not exceed 45 degrees in relation to its vertical position. Pour the coffee
slowly until the carafe is empty, otherwise the coffee contained in the carafe will flow

very quickly up to the bottom of the lid of the carafe and will flow out through the
two edges of the lid, which can cause bodily injury!
8. After brewing, the machine automatically switches into keep-warm mode and
continues to keep your coffee warm for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes of keeping
warm, the appliance turns off automatically. For a tastier coffee, serve it just after
the end of the brewing cycle.
9. Always turn off the coffee maker and always unplug it from the mains socket when
you are not using it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Before cleaning the appliance,
always unplug it and wait until it has cooled
completely. To protect yourself against the risk
of electric shock, never immerse the appliance,
its power cord or its plug in water or any other
liquid.
1). Clean all detachable parts after each use
with hot, soapy water.
2). Wipe the external surface of the appliance
with a damp, soft cloth to remove marks.
NOTE: Do not clean the inside of the reservoir,
because that will leave residue which can clog
your coffee maker. Simply rinse it regularly in
cold water.
