General description
The "Memory 6" emulator prevents the petrol carburation from altering while running on gas. This prevents the
Check Engine warning light from going on while running on gas.
There are several emulators depending on the various motor vehicles. It is therefore very important to always
install the specific emulator, as shown in the vehicle's tables or specific diagrams.
While installing the emulator, carefully follow the assembly instructions: an incorrect connection of the harness can
cause disorders of the emulator.
On vehicles with 2 separate escapes and with 2 lambda oxygen sensors before the catalysers, it is important to
identify the oxygen sensor of the 1st bank and the oxygen sensor of the 2nd bank, in order to assure a correct
working of the emulator.
Warning
With the "Memory 6" emulator, the vehicle's diagnostic system remains active. As a consequence, if while running
on gas the carburation is not correct, the lambda oxygen sensor after the catalyser can detect an error by turning
the Check Engine warning light on.
Working description
In the upper part of the emulator there are three LEDs: red, yellow and green. The LEDs give the following indica-
tions while running on gas:
RED LED
On: there are some emulation troubles (check the wiring).
Off: OK
GREEN LED
On: OK, communication in progress (the LED takes approximately 20 seconds before the connection).
Off: no communication in progress.
YELLOW LED
On: the LED is always on while running on petrol.
Off: OK, running on gas (the LED takes approximately 20 seconds before turning off).
N.B. Should the LED, while running on gas, be on for a long time, it means that there are some communication
troubles. Check the wiring.
Yellow LED
Red LED
Green LED
Recommendations
Install the emulator in the vertical position, far from any possible water seepage and excessive heat sources (ex.
exhaust manifolds).
Install far from the ignition coil and let the harness pass far from high voltage cables.
Realise good electrical connections without using any shunt cable clamps, by making a duly insulated welding.
Do not open the emulator box, above all with the engine running or with the control board switched on.

alterations of the emulator.
Warning
In order to carry out a diagnosis of the vehicle's original injection system it is necessary to change over to the
"forced petrol" mode.
