CLEANING:
• Always unplug the product before cleaning.
• The parts that come into contact with water
and coffee (coffee pot, coffee pot lid, filter
holder and its anti-drip valve) must be cleaned
under the tap using a dishwashing product
and hot water. Rinse it thoroughly under water
after cleaning.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Always unplug the appliance from
the mains socket before cleaning it. To protect
yourself against the risk of electric shock, never
immerse the appliance, its power cord or its plug
in water or any other liquid. After each use, always
first disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
1. Clean all detachable parts after each use with
hot, soapy water.
2. Wipe the external surfaces of the appliance
with a damp, soft cloth to remove marks.
3. Drops of water can accumulate above the
filter holder and drip onto the base of the
GB-4
appliance during brewing. To control this,
wipe this area with a clean, dry cloth after
each use of the appliance.
4. Wipe the hot plate gently with a damp cloth.
Never clean the appliance with an abrasive
cleaning product.
5. Put all parts back together and store the
appliance for the next use.
DESCALING
So that your coffee maker remains in perfect
working order, clean it regularly for mineral
deposits left by the water depending on the water
hardness in your area and the frequency of use.
To descale the coffee maker, proceed as follows:
1. Fill the tank with water and limescale
remover to the maximum level (the ratio of
water to limescale remover must be 4 to 1;
follow the instructions on the descaling
agent packaging). Use a "household limescale
remover". You can also use citric acid instead
of limescale remover (the ratio of water to
citric acid must be 100 to 3).
