5. Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Mechanically moving parts must not show any signs of wear and tear.
2. The electric power supply cables must be undamaged. Have the device installed by a qualified technician.
3. Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance activities.
4. Wipe the device regularly with a moist cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
5. Entrust a qualified technician with the maintenance of this device. Contact your dealer for spare parts if
necessary.

No signal is reaching your television
due to a possible break in the signal
path.
Your signal is too weak.
Too strong signal or local high-power
transmitter such as CB, amateur or
taxi radios.
Insufficient or too strong digital
signal.
Loose connection.

SOLUTION
Ensure that all equipment has been
switched on and that all coaxial
connectors have been fitted
correctly.
Use a masthead aerial amplifier to
improve the signal quality from the
UHF aerial down-lead. Also, ensure
that your aerial is positioned
correctly (pointing at your local TV
transmitter). Replace corroded
aerials.
Use a signal attenuator to reduce the
gain of your aerial signal. Point your
aerial at an alternative transmitter in
order to receive a more suitable
signal level.
Fit a suitable wide-band, high-gain
aerial to help improve the signal
quality to a suitable level. Fit a signal
attenuator between the aerial and
the DTT receiver to weaken the
signal.
Check that all cables and connectors
are properly inserted.
