Selecting a site for the installation
Read all of the safety instructions in this manual and any relevant government,
regional and local safety standards before installing the energizer.
Check that the site for the installation is where:
 a good earth can be obtained. For tips on constructing a good earth system, see
the website (see energizer packaging for details).
 the earth system will be at least 10 m (33') from other earth systems (e.g.
telephone, mains power or the earth system of another energizer).
 children and animals cannot interfere with the installation.
The energizer should be installed:
 inside or under cover.
 adjacent to the electric fence.
 preferably in the middle of the electric fence system.
 close to a mains power outlet.
WARNING!
- Check your installation to ensure that it complies with all local safety regulations.
- Europe
- When the temperature is below 5 °C, the energizer must be located in a
shelter and must not be handled.
