Connect your computer or TV to this control outlet. Then, any peripheral equipment
connected to outlet 8 will automatically be switched off completely (reducing standby
power waste) when your computer or TV is in sleep mode. This saves additional
power! When your computer or TV exits sleep mode, the peripheral equipment will
be switched back on automatically.
• Outlet 8 Sensor - Timer controlled outlet. This outlet is controlled by outlet 7. As
explained above, this is the perfect place to connect peripheral devices like pow-
ered speakers, monitors, printers, scanners, DVD players, sub-woofers, receivers,
etc. NOTE: If nothing is connected to outlet 7, then outlet 8 will not function and will
remain off.
Tip! Use an extension cord to connect to outlet 7 and/or 8.
This enables you to control multiple devices with these auto -
matic power saving outlets. Never overload the Power Saver.
LCD Display:
The Power Saver's unique LCD display provides a highly accurate digital clock and a
digital display of all timer settings and program functions.
TIP! When the timer is ON, the LCD will display icons
indicating which outlets are on or off.
• Display shows "O-ld". You have too many devices connected to the Power Sav-
er. The max wattage is 1800 watts 15 amps. If you have exceeded this, the Power
Saver will shut outlets 2-8 OFF. Unplug some devices, switch the master switch OFF,
and reset the Power Saver by switching to ON or AUTO.
• Display shows "Prot". A high voltage spike has occurred. When the AC line
voltage is higher than AC 132V, it will trigger the high voltage protection. The display
will show "Prot" and cut off all outputs except outlet 1. Switch the main power switch
OFF, then reset the Power Saver by switching to ON or AUTO.
• Display shows "NG". A catastrophic surge/spike has occurred. The Power Saver
can protect your equipment up to a 10,000 ampere AC spike. If an AC spike above
10,000 amperes occurs, outlets 2-8 will shut down and outlet 1 will stay active. The
Power Saver should be discarded and replaced with a new unit.
