Instrument base with headrest

1 Fixation lamp mounting
Caution
The laser slit lamp's fixation lamp is only to be operated with the
standard red blinking diode provided. Otherwise, the fixation lamp may
overheat and be damaged.
2 Patient headrest

5 Locking screw for instrument base
This screw is used to adjust the tension of the XY motion of the
instrument base.
6 Laser connection cable
This cable is inserted into the sockets (5/6, Fig. 9) on the control
unit.
7 Mounting holes
Provided for mounting the instrument base to the support using
the appropriate screws.
8 Fast-action base lock

9 Brightness control for slit illumination
10 Joystick
X/Y fine adjustment by tilting the joystick
(X/Y coarse adjustment is achieved by shifting the complete
instrument base).
11 Hand switch
The laser can be fired using either the hand switch or the foot
switch (special accessory). The control unit menu is used to switch
between the hand and foot switches.
Note for VISULAS YAG III Combi:
The VISULAS YAG III Combi

manual).
12 Index mark for mid-position
Indicates the centre point of the height adjustment range.
The height is adjusted by turning the joystick knob.
The base is locked.
