5 User Modes
The Linx has 2 User Modes. Please note that these modes are only available if they have
been enabled by your clinician.
Warning:
Care must be taken to only use those modes as instructed by your clinician.
1 Flexion Lock
Sets the limit of flexion to a predetermined angle.
The maximum lock angle is 45 degrees from fully extended.
2 Cycling (Free swing)
Releases stance resistance, the Linx limb will then swing freely.
Warning:
In Cycling Mode there is no stance control active, this mode must be de-activated
before resuming walking to avoid falling and possible injury.
Flexion Lock Mode
User activation of Flexion Lock Mode with [ - ] button on the Linx knee module
To activate Flexion Lock:
Fully extend the knee.
Press the [ - ] button 3 times, a short beep confirms each button press. 6 short beeps
confirm that Flexion Lock is ON.
To de-activate Flexion Lock:
Press and hold [ - ] you will hear 2 long beeps.
Cycling Mode
Warning:
In cycling (free swing) mode there is NO stance resistance.
User activation of Cycling Mode with [ - ] button on the Linx knee module
To activate Cycling Mode:
Flex the knee to 90 degrees. Press the [ - ] button 4 times, a short beep confirms each
button press. 5 short beeps confirm that Cycling Mode is activated.
To de-activate Cycling Mode:
Press and hold [ - ] you will hear 2 long beeps.
