8. INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, CLEANING
Before any maintenance or cleaning, ensure that the fan is isolated / disconnected from the incoming electrical supply.
Check periodically in accordance with National or Local regulations, or at least once per year:
• Check impeller, motor, guards for dirt, dust, debris and clean as required.
• Check impeller, motor, guards for damage and repair / replace as required.
• Check free rotation of impeller, motor, bearings without vibration or undue noise.
• Check operating current in accordance with Fan label / nameplate.
• Check motor winding resistance is acceptable.
• Ensure there is no build-up of dirt or debris on motor and impeller which could impede cooling or cause imbalance.
Some S&P fans are supplied with sourced / sub-supplier motors, the motor O + M Instructions will be included with the fan for
extra assistance to Installer. Refer these for further motor guidance.

9. DISPOSAL
At end of working life, disconnect device from electrical supply before any work. Remove and recycle metal, plastic, component
parts safely in accordance with local regulations.

10. PUTTING OUT OF SERVICE AND RECYCLING
EEC legislation and our consideration of future generations mean that we should always recycle materials where pos-
sible; please do not forget to deposit all packaging in the appropriate recycling bins. If your device is also labeled with
this symbol, please take it to the nearest Waste Management Plant at the end of its servicable life.
