6. TERMINATION OF OPERATION
6.1. For short periods, close shut off valve (6).
6.2. Prolonged interruption: close cylinder valve (1), relieve pressure from the pressure
control regulator by opening the adjusting screw (6) & the valve of connected
equipment. Check that gauges (3) & (4) show "0" and unscrew pressure adjusting knob
(5) anticlockwise.
7. OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
7.1. Protect the pressure control regulator from damage (check visually at regular intervals).
7.2. Make a gas escape check at least once a month : open cylinder valve according to
normal procedure; adjust the maximum working pressure on gauge (4) and while
keeping cylinder valve (1) & torch valve closed, fully open the adjusting screw (5) :
Pressure should remain the same during 5 minutes at least. .
7.3.
The pre-set adjustment of the safety valve (8) must not be changed
7.4. During operation, if pressure decreases or increases at consumption = 0 or in case of
leaking, defective gauges or responding safety valve, put the pressure regulator out of
operation and close the cylinder valve (1) immediately.
7.5. Replace or send regulator for revision to authorized workshops, at least every two
years.
8. REPAIRS
8.1.
Repairs of pressure control regulators must only be made by competent and trained
personnel in authorized workshops.
8.2.
The use of original spare parts is compulsory to guarantee good working & safety of
regulator.
8.3. Repair of regulator has to be done according to the same test procedure as for a new
one.
8.4. Incorrect use of regulator & no respect of safety measures will entail loss of liability for
the manufacturer.
