GB INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Congratulations on your purchase of this high-quality ESYLUX product. To ensure
correct device operation, please read these installation/operating instructions
carefully and keep them in a safe place for future reference.
1 • SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: work on the 230 V power system must be carried out by
authorised personnel only with due regard to the applicable installation
regulations. Switch off the power supply before installing the system.

On the input side, the device is to be protected against short
circuits with a 10 A circuit breaker (fig. 4).
Use this product only as intended (as described in the user instructions).
Changes or modifications to the product or painting it will result in loss
of warranty. You should check the device for damage immediately
after unpacking it. If there is any damage, you should not install the
device under any circumstances.
If you suspect that safe operation of the device cannot be
guaranteed, you should turn the device off immediately and make sure
that it cannot be operated unintentionally.
NOTE: this device must not be disposed of as unsorted household waste.
Used devices must be disposed of correctly. Contact your local town
council for more information.
2 • DESCRIPTION
ESYLUX PD-C360i/24 DUOplus series presence detector with a 360°
field of detection and 24 m range. ESYLUX presence detectors are
passive infrared detectors, which react to moving heat sources (e.g.
people) (fig. 1 (1) working area (2) head-on to detector (3) diagonally to detector).
If the presence detector senses a change in thermal radiation inside its
field of detection, depending on the preset light value, it will switch on
the light channels for an adjustable period of time. An additional HVAC
switch contact can be used to control another light source/panel lighting or
to control the heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems depending
on presence, and regardless of the light value.
The ESYLUX PD-C360i/24 DUOplus series presence detector is de-
signed exclusively for ceiling mounting. Depending on the model, the
device can either be surface mounted (SM) or recessed mounted (FM).
The ESYLUX presence detector features factory settings and operates
according to preset values. The values can be individually modified using
the ESYLUX Mobil-PDi/plus or Mobil-PDi/User remote control (available
as optional accessories), and also by using the potentiometers.
3 • INSTALLATION / ASSEMBLY / CONNECTION
Please observe the following before installing the device:
• Switch off the power supply at the mains before installing the product.
• Any information relating to the detector's range is based on an
installation height of 3 m.
• The greater the installation height, the wider the range, but also the
lower the detector's level of sensitivity.
