This will automatically incorporate the device you want to add into the existing radio group.
The entire programming process can last up to approx. 60 seconds.
Creating an additional radio group
Follow the instructions provided in the section entitled "Creating a radio group". Simply program the
GB
radio modules/PROTECTOR KRF 9 V devices that you want to include in the additional radio group.
In doing so, be sure not to incorporate any devices from an existing radio group. You can create up
to 8 independent radio groups.
Deleting programmed settings/factory setting
Press and hold down the button (Fig. 8.1) on the radio module that you want to delete for approx. 5
seconds until the red LED (Fig. 8.3) starts flashing approx. twice per second. When you have held
the button down for approx. 2-3 seconds, it will initially start flashing approx. once per second.
Continue to hold down the button until the LED starts flashing twice as fast. Release the button.
The radio module confirms deletion by emitting a short beep and then returns to standard mode.
However, the device does not belong to a radio group.
4 • ASSEMBLY
Screw the radio module onto a stable surface without exposing the housing to mechanical stress.
Make sure that the device is located at least 0.5 m from any other radio module/PROTECTOR KRF 9 V
device or the PROTECTOR Control Panel or any metal objects in the building (Fig. 9).
Connect the radio module as shown in the connection examples (Figs. 1 - 7).
Check that each installed radio module is operating correctly by using the test feature as follows:
Press the button for approx. 1 second (Fig. 8.1). The radio module will then trigger a test alarm, which
is automatically silenced after approx. 20 seconds. All devices within the same radio group will also
be triggered.
WARNING! Do NOT hold down the button for too long (more than 2 seconds), or else the radio module will
revert to the factory settings! (Fig. 8.1)
