Troubleshooting

Always depressurize the sprayer, remove all chemical solution and clean the sprayer before making repairs.
PROBLEM: Flow control sticks or is hard to use.
CAUSE: O-rings are cracked or damaged.
SOLUTION: Use repair Kit 20 and replace the o-rings. Make sure you lubricate all the seals, gaskets and o-rings.
PROBLEM: Liquid leaks between the flow control and the wand.
CAUSE: Nut may be loose or rubber seal is cracked or damaged.
SOLUTION: Tighten the nut and/or replace the seal (Kit 392) and lubricate.
PROBLEM: Liquid leaks from cap.
CAUSE: Cap not screwed on tightly or seal is cracked or damaged.
SOLUTION: Tighten cap. Lubricate the seal, replace if necessary with Kit 2A.
PROBLEM: Check valve in cap leaks.
CAUSE: Check valve is dirty or damaged.
SOLUTION: Clean or replace as necessary.
PROBLEM: Tank starts to collapse; cap cannot be unscrewed creating a vacuum.
CAUSE: Vent holes in cap have become clogged.
SOLUTION: Remove cap and with a small wire, unclog the holes. Clean the cap, check valve. Lubricate check valve and reinstall.
PROBLEM: Low or no pressure.
CAUSE: Check valve in the pump have become stuck and/or there is an air lock in the unit.
SOLUTION: Release pressure by keeping flow control open and pump several times. This will break the seal and
allow the liquid to flow. If unsuccessful, disassemble and force seals open by hand.
PROBLEM: Does not hold pressure.
CAUSE: (1) The o-rings and check valve need replacing; (2) The pressure chamber has expanded; or (3) The check
valves are clogged with debris because strainer in mouth of tank was not installed.
SOLUTION: (1) Use Kit 12 to replace o-rings and seals; (2) If Kit 12 does not solve the problem, use Kit 674 to
replace the pressure chamber; or (3) clean the sprayer and check valve, lubricate and reassemble.
PROBLEM: Tanks leaks at pump connection.
CAUSE: The o-rings and/or seals are damaged.
SOLUTION: Use Kit 12 to replace all damaged seals and o-rings.
PROBLEM: Tank leaks at pump and pressure chamber connection.
CAUSE: (1) The hose clamp is loose; or (2) The o-ring is damaged.
SOLUTION: (1) Tighten the hose clamp; (2) Use Kit 10 to replace the o-ring.
PROBLEM: Tank leaks at hose connection.
CAUSE: Clamp is loose or damaged.
SOLUTION: Tighten clamp if loose or replace if damaged.
PROBLEM: Diaphragm is leaking.
CAUSE: Diaphragm is damaged.
SOLUTION: Use Kit 13 to replace diaphragm.
