Showerhead can
be on either side.
1. Mark and Drill the Mounting Holes
IMPORTANT! For 32" (81.3 cm) x 32" (81.3 cm) shower bases, A= 31" (78.7 cm).
IMPORTANT! For 36" (91.4 cm) x 36" (91.4 cm) shower bases, A= 34-1/2" (87.6 cm).
Measure dimension "A" from the back shower wall (not receptor edge) to the front ledge of the
receptor and mark on the receptor with a pencil.
Repeat the measurement from the other back wall and mark the other side of the shower receptor.
Align the outside edge of the wall jamb with the mark made on the shower ledge.
NOTE: The wall jamb must sit flat on the shower ledge. If the ledge has a curve in the corners at the side
wall, it may be necessary to shape the bottom end of the wall jamb with a file.
Using a level, plumb the wall jamb.
Mark the five wall mounting holes with a pencil.
IMPORTANT! For ceramic tile walls, use a center punch to lightly punch the five hole locations for the
wall jamb before drilling.
NOTE: Select the appropriate drill bit based upon the wall material. For ceramic tile walls, use a 3/16"
masonry drill bit. For fiberglass walls, use a 5/16" drill bit.
Slowly drill at the marked hole locations.
Thoroughly clean the ledge and wall of debris.
Insert wall anchors into the drilled holes.
Repeat the above procedure for the remaining wall jamb.
