into the wood and no longer form small
beads on the surface.
How to re-stain:
Choose a place in the shade for cleaning,
re-staining and leaving the furniture to dry.
Avoid direct sunlight.
1.Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened in
water and a mild soapy solution, if necessary.
Wipe dry with a clean and dry cloth.
Use a soft brush to remove tougher stains. If
necessary, sand the surface with fine grade
sandpaper. Be sure to sand it in the direction
of the grain. Do not use steel wool or a brush
with metal bristles – pieces of metal may
become embedded in the wood and rust.
If wood fibres rise after cleaning, sand the
surface with fine grade sandpaper.
2. Shake the bottle well and apply a thin,
even coat of stain to the furniture using a
brush or sponge. Apply on the entire surface
at once and in the direction of the grain.
3. Water-based stain dries quickly so be
sure to wipe off any excess with a dry cloth
directly after application.
Wash brushes and your hands with soap and
water.
Storing:
Before storing away your furniture for the
season, clean it well and let it dry thoroughly.
If possible, store your outdoor furniture in a
cool and dry place indoors. If stored outside,
put the furniture under a roof if possible
and cover it with a protective cover. If the
furniture is left exposed to rain or snow,
make sure to protect it with a waterproof
cover and if possible tilt the furniture to make
it easier for any water to drain away. After
a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or
snow – especially from flat surfaces. Allow air
to ventilate, to avoid moisture and mould.
NOTE!
To increase the stability of your furniture, re-
tighten the screws at least once per season.
