Connect to the Internet
Your tablet connects to the Internet whenever necessary, using a Wi-Fi network (if available) or
your mobile operator's data connection.
Turn on or off data connection
You can use your mobile operator's data connection. Some apps and services may transfer data
over your mobile operator's cellular network, which may result in additional fees. Contact your
mobile operator for details.
1. On the Home screen or list menu, tap Settings.
2. Tap More... > Mobile networks > Data enabled.
3. Tap to turn on or off data connection.
Connect to a wireless network
Connect the device to a Wi-Fi network to use the Internet or share media files with other
devices. To use Wi-Fi, you need access to a wireless point or hotspot.
1. On the Home screen or list menu, tap Settings, and then tap Wi-Fi to turn it on.
2. Detected Wi-Fi networks will be listed in the Wi-Fi networks section.
3. Tap the desired Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
I f you select a secure network, you will be asked to enter the network key or password.
NFC
Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range wireless technology that's designed for
transferring data quickly. You can use NFC technology to exchange files between your tablet
and other NFC-enabled devices simply by tapping the back of your devices together.
Enable your NFC feature
1. O n the Apps screen, tap Settings > More... > NFC. Tap to switch on NFC.
2. P lace the device near an NFC tag. The information from the tag will appear.
Send data via Android Beam
Use the Android Beam feature to send data, such as webpages and contacts, to NFC-enabled
devices.
1. O n the Apps screen, tap Settings > More... > NFC > Android Beam, and drag the bar to the
right to turn it on.
2. S elect an item, touch the back of your device to the back of the other device, and then tap
your device's screen.
