1. INTRODUCTION
DOG STEEL electromagnetic lock has been developed in order to meet the user
needs, in compliance with the strictest quality, security and comfort standards for its
users. It is produced with steel plates with epoxy-coat finishing to increase its service
life; It is available in 127 and 220 V.
The electromagnetic lock can be activated at the moment the gate operator is
activated or manually by means of a proper key. It automatically locks the gate after
the gate is closed.
The timer board has been developed in order to decrease electric energy consumption
by the product. The timer module is easy to install; all one has to do is connect two
specific wires to the control board of the operator; whenever the motor is activated
in order to open the gate, the timer activates the lock during the average time of 5
seconds, and then it will turn itself off.

3. INSTALLATION
1. Carefully read all the instructions herein before starting the installation procedures.
2. The electromagnetic lock must be installed on the inner side of the gate (on its stop side).
Mounting depends on each kind of gate. Therefore, the installer is supposed to choose the proper
manner / position for every individual installation.
3. Fasten the mounting plate (base) on the gate leaf and use the pin to centralize the ramp (gate
stopper).
4. Fasten the ramp and afterwards fasten the lock by means of the screws.
5. Once the set is properly mounted, perform the testing, by manually opening and closing the gate.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
MOTOPPAR, Industry and Commerce of Automatic Gate Openers Ltd.,
Located at 3526 Dr. Labieno da Costa Machado Avenue, Industrial District,
Garça –SP, Zip Code 17400-000, National Registry of Legal Entities Number
52.605.821/0001-55, State Registration Number 315.011.558.113 hereby
guarantees this product against design, manufacturing or assembly defects
and/or supportively as a result of material quality flaws that make its use
improper or inadequate within a legal period of 90 (ninety) days from time of
acquisition, as long as installation instructions are followed as described in the
technical manual. In case of defect, within the warranty period, MOTOPPAR
liability is restricted to the repair or substitution of the product manufactured
by the company.
Due to the credibility and trust placed on PPA products, we add 275 more
days to the period mentioned above, reaching a warranty period of one
year, likewise counted from the time of acquisition proven by the consumer
through a proof of purchase.
Within the additional period of 275 days, only visits and transportation
in places where authorized technical assistance is not available will be
charged. The cost of transportation of the product and/or technician will be
responsibility of the consumer.
The substitution or repair of the product does not prolong this warranty.
This warranty will be terminated if the product:
- Is damaged by accidents or natural agents, such as lightning, floods,
landslides etc.
- Its installation has an improper electric power supply or if it is not
accordingly to any of the installation instructions from the manual;
- Is not used for its intended purpose;
- Is not used under normal conditions;
- Is damaged by accessories or piece(s) of equipment connected to it.
Recommendation:
We recommend the operator installation to be carried out by an authorized
PPA technical service provider.
Installation done by a third party will terminate the warranty due to damage
caused by inadequate installation. Only a PPA authorized technician is
qualified to open, remove and substitute parts or components, as well as
repair defects covered by this warranty. Failure on observing this guideline
and the verified use of any non-original parts will cause the resignation of
this warranty document on the part of the user.
If the product fails, seek an Authorized Technical Service to fix it.
