15 INSTALLATION AND FIXATION
4.1 Installation: The Elber water cooler, although designed for severe working
conditions, should be installed preferably protected from the sun, and in a
location that allows ventilation of the compressor unit with the environment.
It can be embedded in furniture, as long as it is not completely enclosed, and
preserves the opening of the free ventilation grids for air circulation. This is
necessary so that there is heat exchange with the environment and free space
to remove the lid that gives access to the water cooler compressor (figure 01).
The compressor unit must not be obstructed, as it requires ventilation, thus
allowing the condenser and the motor to cool simultaneously.
Observe the air inlet and outlet identification. Air enters through one opening
and out through another. This flow is promoted by the fan that is installed
inside the compartment.
4.2 Fixation: The drinker has fixing supports. If necessary, the external
cabinet can be used for fixing. Give preference to the corners, which have
greater resistance.
ATTENTION: Do not insert drills or screws larger than 15 mm, as this may
affect the refrigerant gas pipe (figure 02).
16 ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Elber drinkers are designed to be powered by the vehicle's battery. Its voltage
is set at the factory, at 12 or 24 VDC. There are also Bivolt drinkers, which can
be used in both 12 and 24 VDC, without the need for voltage adjustment.
Check the voltage on the identification label. It is only possible to change the
voltage by replacing the relay and module
The polarity indicated on the electrical harness must be respected in order to
obtain a better performance of the drinker. Do not consider the coloring of the
wires to guide the polarity. In the water cooler the blue color is positive and in
the vehicle, the blue color may be negative. Consider the identification rings
with (+) and (-) on the cables.
Use the battery's exclusive electrical conductor to connect the water cooler. To
activate the water cooler on the panel, or from a distance, use a 1 mm cable
